Eine Strickerin aus Übersee kam mit den verkürzten Reihen in meiner Lintilla-Anleitung nicht so gut klar – das verstehe ich gut. Wäre sie hier in Hamburg, hätte ich mich mit ihr treffen und es ihr einfach zeigen können. A knitter from far, far away had some problems with the short rows in my Lintilla pattern – understandable. If she lived here in Hamburg, I could have met her and just shown her the technique. But luckily, for those cases, there’s my little camera and youtube (this is the video tutorial in English):

vielen Dank für die Mühe, die du dir mit dem Video gemacht hast. Ich bin zwar nicht aus Übersee, gehöre aber auch zu denen, die mit diesen Wickelmaschen ganz erhebliche Probleme haben. Bisher habe ich mir dazu immer auf You-Tube das Video von Cat Bordhi angesehen, aber es hier bei dir auf deutsch und etwas deutlicher erklärt zu bekommen, ist schon der pure Luxus, den ich sehr zu schätzen weiß. Ist i.Ü. noch ein Argument mehr, Lintilla zu stricken

Your video on wrap and turn is excellent. I have tried to perfect wrap and turns for years, but had trouble picking up the wrap and knitting without getting a hole. Your technique is perfect. Thank you for writing such wonderful patterns and your instruction, too!
Love you video of wrap and turn, it really helped. However, I am having problems with the section on decreasing. I don’t understand Edging Pattern, Row 17. Am I knitting the rest of the row after the k2tog? I’m not sure when i am suppose to “turn work”. After I “turn work”, then what do I do? I think I must be doing something wrong.

Thank you for this very clear verbal and visual explanation. Other videos I have seen are long, wordy, and the camera angle or contrast between the work and the background doesn’t show this technique well. Bravo! I’m working on “Wingspan” and it said not to wrap the turns but holes are developing when my knitting is looser (I think because I don’t knit Euro style) so I’m going to wrap them in spite of the instructions and if necessary go down a needle size.

nachdem ich von meiner Tochter Dein Büchlein geschenkt bekommen habe, gehe ich nun seit 4 Wochen damit schwanger, endlich das Lintilla zu beginnen. Irgendwie musste ich immer an Harry Potter denken ” Wickeln und wenden” – Witschen und ….. – ach ich weiss nicht mehr was. Ist schon zu lange her, dass ich HP gesehen habe. Jetzt hat die Zauberei aber ein Ende und Dank Deines Filmes ist es auch keine Zauberei mehr für mich

Martina, I love this little shawl, but, I downloaded the directions in English (I speak
no German, sorry) but I feel something is missing. I do not see directions to expand the pattern. Could it be that something is lost in translation I am an intermediate knitter, soI should be able to do this. Can you help? Thank you so much.

Ich sitze auch gerade an Lintilla und habe schon an meinem Verstand gezweifelt wegen dem wickeln und wenden und picken undsoweiter. Aber zum Glück gibt es dieses super Video des kreativen Kopfes Martina.
