A virtual knitting summer camp: Every knitter chooses a project to work on during 6 weeks from July 23rd to September 3rd. You choose which yarn and which pattern – it does not have to be by Martina. The camp will take place on our brand-new Strickmich! Netz.
During the Sommer Camp, Strickmich! Shop offers extra goodies for participants who shop with us between July 19th and September 3rd. For orders above the following thresholds (excluding shipping):
To earn the goodies, you must enter a code into the commentary field of your order. You will see the code after logging into Strickmich! Netz. PS: We ship worldwide using Fedex and DHL.
Every week, we will hold a photo challenge where you can win lovely prizes: patterns, yarn, books…
And, most importantly: We will keep each other company, show off your projects and our knitting summer adventures in the brand-new place to be Strickmich! Netz where the camp takes place.
You can join Strickmich! Sommer Camp now, chat with other campers and get yourself acquainted with Strickmich! Netz and all posts concerning Strickmich! Sommer Camp.

A warm little cowl, worked in garter stitch out of a spectacularly hand dyed yarn – that’s a perfect project for your summer vacation! “Panoramic Cowl” was the fourth pattern of Strickmich! Club 2020, and now it’s being released to the public via Ravelry and Strickmich! Shop.
As a special treat, we have convinced hand dyer Susanne Walther from Hamburg to dye a small batch of her beautiful “Tieke Garne Merino 500” for Strickmich! Shop. Her spectacular colors will only be available as long as supplies last. Shipping is worldwide!
It’s a cardigan! Wrap & Warm is knit seamlessly in the round, so there are no long rows of purl stitches. Also: very few stitches to cast on, no special cast-on techniques, no short rows, no seaming. A very relaxing project both while knitting and while wearing it!
You can adapt everything to your preferences and body measurements on the go: the width of the cuffs (which sort of determines the width of the sleeves), sleeve length, length of the overall cardigan plus width of the edges. The sample shown in the pictures is a size M and I used up 400 g of the beautiful Rosy Green Wool Cheeky Merino Joy yarn, which is one of my favorites.
Cheeky Merino Joy is not only extremely soft, it also comes in lots of beautiful colors, is superwash, mulesing-free, animal- and environmentally friendly produced and GOTS certified. The “Melange” variant has an interesting, slightly more rustic look to it without forgoing any of the softness. Find your favorite color in Strickmich! Shop!
Last year we had a ton of fun with Strickmich! Sommer Camp: A virtual knitting camp to bring us all together! Every participant picked their own project to work on during the six weeks between mid-July and the end of August. We had fun free gifts in Strickmich! Shop to go with your order and a weekly newsletter with tips and hints for knitting while it’s hot, while traveling and the like. So we will do it again! The camp starts on July 23rd, and I will inform you about everything you need to know in my newsletter. (Subscribe here!)
Participation is free, and I hope we will have a great knitting summer together!
As with the other patterns from the book, Lintilla is based on the basic form of the hitchhiker. Short row create the curved, very subtly ruffled edge.
The model in the picture was knitted from two beautiful balls of “Merinella” by GGH in the color “Aubergine”.
My ” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>book with the pattern of Lintilla and the yarn are in the Strickmich! Shop.
Hydrangeas (German: Hortensien) just look amazing when fall comes: The colors spectacularly change from white, pink and baby blue to purple and gray. A perfect inspiration for this shawl and its colorway!
Two asymmetrical triangles are connected by a beautiful lace panel. Never tried lace before? This is a good place to start: Just a few stitches need to be worked to achieve a stunning effect. Instructions are given as a written-out version as well as a chart. It’s much easier than it looks!
The beautiful yarn (Fyberspates Vivacious 4-Ply) is hand dyed, a pleasure to knit with and available in Strickmich! Shop in selected colors. Find the pattern as a download and printed in Strickmich! Shop as well as on Ravelry.
It’s both a versatile cowl and a shrug: Poppy Project! If you love relaxed knitting with an interesting construction, this project is for you.
The sample for Strickmich! Club 2020 was knit out of 150 g of “Big Merino” by Alte Künste, but can be substituted with any fingering weight yarn. I think it would look amazing in a yarn with long color changes!
Find the pattern and alternative yarn suggestions in Strickmich! Shop.
A beautiful big lace shawl in an amazingly soft and warm yarn in amazing colors: “Jasminde” is a great project for everyone who wants to start their first lace project, as there are only two different rows of pattern! The instructions are given both as a chart and written out in my new book “The Hitchhiker Collection” and as a single download. Find the pattern, the book and the yarn “Babyalpaca” by BC Garnin Strickmich! Shop.
All Strickmich! Shop orders above 40 Euros (excluding shipping) will earn a free pink organic cotton project bag (retails for € 11,90) from March 26th through April 5th! Just place your order as usual, we will add the project bag automatically. You don’t have to put it in your shopping cart. Only as long as supplies last!
