When and where can I sign up?
There are no more memberships available or my favorite option is no longer available

If your preferred option of membership is not available, please check back later as we constantly adjust the availability during the sign-up phase. Do I need an Email address to participate in the Strickmich! Club?

Yes, an Email address is required to be part of the club. We will send receipts of payment, acceptance of the membership and all relevant information only by Email. Please make sure that your Email address is correct when signing up and that a potential spam filter will not hinder Emails from the domain or

Of course, it is still possible to give the Club membership to someone without an Email address as a gift. Just make sure that the giver will pass on all information we send to him during the year to the gifted.

Can I only buy 3, 2 or 1 shipments and not the whole Club membership? Do you offer payment in multiple installments?

The dyers need to know in advance exactly how many skeins they should dye. This only works if all club members reliably participate in all 4 projects. Therefore, you can only buy the whole Club membership for one year with all 4 shipments. As we are not a big financial institution and the dyers need the advanced payment to purchase the un-dyed yarn, we cannot offer payment in different installments.

Can I buy the Strickmich! Club membership for someone else as a gift?

Of course! And what better gift for a true knitter for Christmas or the Holidays! It is only important that you clearly distinguish between shipping address and billing address in the sign-up. We will send all 4 shipments to the shipping address if this is filled in, therefore, this should be the address of the gift receiver. We will send the confirmations, bill etc. to the billing address, therefore this can be the giver of the present. If you buy the Strickmich! Club for yourself as a gift, only one address is required.

How will I know that I am in the Strickmich! Club? What happens if all the slots are filled?

After you have signed up on the webpage you will receive an Email stating that we have received your order. In this Email we will also specify the details for money transfer (please ignore this if you are using PayPal). We will also give you an order number, please use this in all correspondence and especially for the money transfer.

We will check your application after we have received the payments in full, please note that this can take some time even with PayPal. We will then send you a confirmation of your membership after a few days as well as a bill / receipt stating also the relevant tax information (for EU countries). Please contact us if you have not received your confirmation after 7 days of your payment confirmation at info(at) stating your Reference numbers from the first Email.

If the shop page should be down due to many people signing up at the same time or if a club option is sold out, please try again later. If the participant list is definitely full (i.e. there is not enough yarn to go around) we will close the online sign-up and have a non-binding waiting list instead. If someone who signed up fails to pay or pulls out later we will offer the club membership to the next person on the waiting list. Both the sign-up and the potential waiting list will be strictly in order of submission – we believe this is the fairest way to do it.

What if I have changed my mind? How can I get out of the club after having received the confirmation?

Please check our AGB (Terms and Conditions) for the legal aspect of it. As there are only a limited amount of slots and skeins to go around, please think about the Strickmich! Club conditions before you join. Do you enjoy being surprised? Will you be excited to receive a new pattern by Martina together with great yarn by different hand-dyers throughout next year? If you change your mind after signing-up please note that you can only withdraw from the whole club, not from single shipments.

How is the Club price calculated? Why do I only see one sum for the Club price this year?

We had previously listed the different costs for the Club separately (Membership fee, Shipping, Paypal fee) and members could only see the total amount in the final shopping card after selecting the membership type etc. Many members found this to be confusing and therefore we have decided to show your total cost on the product page right away.

Are taxes (VAT etc.) included in my membership price?

The price for the Club membership includes all taxes and fees relevant for shipping into the different regions. Therefore, the price in Germany and the E.U. contains the German VAT. The price for the Non-E.U. membership does not contain VAT. Please note that you are responsible for all cost your country might charge upon importing your Club package (such as customs fees, taxes etc.). Please check with your local authorities before signing-up for the Club.

Why is there a different price depending on the shipping region?

Shipping to countries outside the E.U. is creating higher costs and complexity for us both in shipping and handling as well as significantly higher Paypal fees. Therefore, the membership outside the E.U. is slightly more expensive than within the E.U.

When do we start? When will the shipments arrive?

We will ship shortly before the Cast-on Events. Therefore, the packages will probably be sent in February, May, September and November. Last year we realized that the longer summer break is important as many members in different countries will be on vacation and cannot receive the package in July or August. Please note that the time it takes for a package to arrive in different countries will vary significantly. Even within the same country, some people might receive their package after a few days while others have to wait for a few weeks.

My address has changed, I will be moving soon – what should I do?

Please let us know about changes in your delivery address as soon as possible at info(at) Also, please notify us, if you are planning to be away for a longer period within the months that the packages are scheduled to arrive. In this case we can send the package to an alternate address for you. One more note on shipping: We have to send all German and international packages together at the same time respectively. This is due to the agreements we have with DHL (Germany) and Deutsche Post (international).

What should I do if I do not like the yarn in a shipment?

If you really do not like a yarn, please do not send it back right away. We are certain that there will be a lot of interest from other knitters to get their fingers on your skein. The yarn colorway is exclusive for Club members for at least 6 months, therefore we believe you will be able to trade an unwanted skein with someone else via Ravelry etc. Please do not sell your yarn to someone else as the experience shows that this will create negative feelings in other Club members. If you really don’t know what to do with it, please let us know by Email and we will help you to find someone who loves to take it from you. Of course Martina’s pattern will work with all yarns of similar strength just as well.

What if I want more of the Club yarn? Could I just buy it elsewhere?

All Strickmich! Club yarns are dyed exclusively for the Club. This is a very time consuming and also artistic process. The capacity of the dyers is very limited and we are very fortunate that we could get 4 of the greatest yarns for the Club. All of the dyers want to continue to sell their yarns in other colors as well and therefore each Club member can only get the skein ordered as part of the Club membership. This also means that you cannot switch from a single to double yarn memberhip or vice versa. The Strickmich! Club colorways will also be exclusively available through the Club for at least 6 months after the shipping. After this time each dyer if free to choose if they want to offer the Club yarn in the Club colorway in their store or not.

How will I get the Club pattern? Will they be available on, Ravelry or as PDF?

Each shipment of the Strickmich! Club will contain a high quality booklet of the printed pattern. The Club patterns will also be exclusive to Club members for at least 6 months and available only in printed form, not in an electronic version or download. As soon as the pattern is available for the general public, we will send an electronic version to all Club members as PDF download (free of charge of course). You will receive an E-mail with a personalized coupon code that you can redeem to receive your pattern.

Can I sell the pattern, duplicate it or post it online?

The Strickmich! Club patterns are subject to the same copyright rules as any pattern by Martina Behm. Please respect Martina’s intellectual property, she is constantly thinking about new and exciting designs for us to enjoy. Therefore, please note that the pattern in the Club is your personal copy and it is not allowed to duplicate it other than for your personal use. The copyright especially prohibits anyone from selling it, scanning it and distributing it in electronic form or posting it on the internet. As it often happens: Please make sure the pattern pages are not visible in your project pictures, because people might be able to read the instructions from that.

Can I sell the shawls that I have knit by the Club pattern?

Our Strickmich! Club and its content is for personal members use only. A commercial use of the designs by Martina Behm are excluded by her copyright and terms and conditions. If you are a business owner and have some ideas of working together please contact Martina and Peter at info(at) How can I get in touch with other Strickmich! Club members? You can turn your Strickmich! Club experience into a virtual social club as well. There will be knit alongs and discussion groups for each shipment of the Club on the free knitting community Ravelry. It will be a lot of fun to see how other knitters projects will grow and turn out. Ravelry will also be the best way to exchange your experiences with fellow knitters, ask questions from the community and also Martina:

On the other hand, it is not necessary to join Ravelry to enjoy the Strickmich! Club. We will send all relevant information to everyone by Email, you can ask questions of Peter and Martina by Email etc. (see below). Also, all your personal information is safe with us: that means that we will never give out your contact information or Email address to anyone not involved in the shipping of the Club etc. Therefore, we will not give you any information about other Club members.

What can I do if I have questions regarding the pattern?

If you are on Ravelry, your fist stop should be to check the Strickmich! Club discussion groups if anyone else has already posted your question. Martina will also be part of the discussions there. How do our “Abholer” members get their packages?

If you have chosen to pick-up all your packages in Damsdorf you can do so at the cast-on event. If a package is not picked up a lot of additional complications and extra work are created for us (i.e. we have to re-pack everything etc.) Therefore, we will charge 9 Euros within Germany and 15 Euros internationally for shipping an “Abholer” package. Please consider the Abholer option only if you are sure to pick up all four packages in Damsdorf.

We will send all information to you by email to the address you have used for the sign-up. Please make sure that your server does not block the domain and also check in your spam folder.
