Halley

„Himmel und Sterne“ lautet das Motto für den Strickmich! Club 2018 – and hier ist die erste Stricknleitung aus dem Club: „Halley“. Unsere Mitglieder haben sie zusammen mit dem wunderschönen handgefärbten Garn von Zauberwiese im Februar bekommen, und ab diesem Zeitpunkt war sie 6 Monate lang exklusiv nur für Clubmitglieder verfügbar.

Aber jetzt ist der Zeitpunkt gekommen, da „Halley“ – benannt nach dem Halley’schen Kometen – die Reise in die Welt antritt: Die Anleitung ist im Strickmich! Shop verfügbar (wo wir auch eine limitierte Anzahl an Kits anbieten), sowie auf Ravelry.

Das Tuch beginnt ganz entspannt mit einem einfachen Dreieck in kraus-rechts und geht nach und nach in ein hübsches Zick-Zack-Lacemuster über – ich hatte beim Entwerfen dieses Tuchs einen Kometenschauer im Kopf, der sich kreuz und quer über den Sternenhimmel ergießt. Das Thema „Sterne“ findet sich auch in der exklusiven Färbung des Garns wieder: Alexandra hat sich von Fotos von fernen Galaxien und Sternennebeln inspirieren lassen.

„Stars and Sky“ is our Motto for Strickmich! Club 2018 – and here is our first pattern from the Club: „Halley“! Our members received a printed version of this pattern together with the beautiful exclusively hand-dyed yarn from Zauberwiese back in February.

The pattern and the yarn have been exclusively available for club members (they also could re-order more of the beautiful yarn) during six months, and now the time has come to take „Halley“ on its next journey into the knitting world. The pattern is now available on Ravelry and in Strickmich! Shop, where we also offer a limited number of kits with the exclusively handdyed yarn.

Knitting Halley starts in a very relaxed fashion with a simple triangle in garter stitch that slowly gives way to an intricate zig-zagged lace pattern. When I worked on the design for this, I was thinking of a shower of comets, criss-crossing the starry sky at night. The „stars“ topic can also be found in the colorway of the yarn: Alexandra was inspired by pictures of far away galaxies and nebulae.
