Obvious
Eine riesige, weiche Stola, ganz in kraus-rechts und aus einem superschönen, soften Garn in Bio-Qualität in wunderbaren Farben: Das ist Obvious! Die Idee dazu kam mir, als ich über der Schemazeichnung für die Hülle „One for the Books“ meditiert habe, die ich für den Strickplaner 2018 entworfen hatte. Das Prinzip müsste auch als Tuch funktionieren, dachte ich mir, das war ganz offensichtlich (englisch: „obvious“), und so habe ich aus fünf Strängen Rosy Green Wool Cheeky Merino Joy dieses Riesentuch gestrickt. Es ist so toll geworden und bietet so viele Tragemöglichkeiten – ich kann es kaum abwarten, dass die Tage wieder kälter werden, denn dann wird mir dieses Tuch in meinem eher kühlen Büro gute Dienste leisten. Und klasse unterm Mantel aussehen. Oder über der Bluse. Oder, oder… offensichtlich, oder?
Das Stricken ist ganz entspannt, bis auf ein paar Zu- oder Abnahmen sind keine besonderen Techniken gefragt. Ich würde sagen: anfängertauglich! Allerdings braucht man schon ein wenig Ausdauer, denn es sind insgesamt gut 1500 Meter Garn zu verstricken.

A big, soft stole knit in garter stitch, out of a wonderful organic yarn in great colors: That’s Obvious! I had the idea for this shawl when I was casually staring at the schematic of the knitted book cover „One for the Books“ that I designed for Strickplaner (my knitting planner) 2018: That should work as a stole, obviously… and it did! I used one of my favorite yarns, Rosy Green Wool Cheeky Merino Joy for it. It turned out enormous, and it’s super versatile. I can’t wait until the days will finally get a little colder, so I get to wear mine. It will be super useful in my cold-ish office. And look great under my winter coat, just adding a splash of color. And look awesome thrown over a blouse… obviously!
The knitting is really simple, there are only a few increases and decreases to work. You will need a little stamina, though, as there are 1500 m of yarn to knit!
