Polarlys

Eines der spektakulärsten Phänomene auf diesem Planeten sind mit Sicherheit die Polarlichter: In Blautürkis bis Violett leuchten sie am Himmel in der Nähe des Nordpols, und wer Glück hat beim Urlaub in Skandinavien, bekommt sie zu Gesicht. Dieses Tuch ist inspiriert vom Polarlicht („Polarlys“ ist das dänische Wort dafür), die Form erinnert an die Bögen, die das Licht an den Himmel malt. Polarlys beginnt mit einem beidseitigen Maschenanschlag und wird von der Mitte aus komplett ohne linke Maschen gestrickt!

Dieses Tuch war Bestandteil des Strickmich! Clubs 2019 – die Anleitung war sechs Monate lang nur für Clubmitglieder verfügbar. Die auf den Fotos abgebildete Färbung stand nur unseren Mitgliedern zur Verfügung. Aber im Strickmich! One of the most spectacular phenomena on this planet must be the Northern Lights: In colors from blue-teal to purple they illuminate the sky close to the North Pole, and if you are lucky during your vacation in one of the northern Scandinavian countries, you will see them. This shawl was inspired by the Northern Lights (“Polarlys” is the Danish word for them), as its shape resembles the broad strokes that the light paints on the sky. Polarlys starts with Judy’s Magic Cast-on and is knit from the middle in rounds – entirely without purl stitches, ending with an asymmetrical mesh lace border.

This knitting project was part of Strickmich! Club 2019 – the pattern was exclusive to our club members for six months. The colorway you can see in the pictures was only available to them.
