Dark & Stormy

It took me two nights of pattern browsing to figure out what to make of my only skeins of Wollmeise DK (color: Pistazie). I wanted a cardigan with a V-neck, with buttons, no funny fabric floating around in the front. Also, not too big (so I would not look like a rectangle when wearing my big men’s jeans with it), and not too tight (really, I am sort of tired of showing off all my curves). Also, top-down would be nice and some cables. And the gauge needed to be as in my swatch: 20 stitches on 10 cms. Luckily, Ravelry has an awesome search function and I settled with Thea Colman’s „Dark & Stormy“. So far, it is going nicely, although I would say the pattern is for advanced knitters, as some techniques are not explained in full detail and abbreviations are not given. The yarn feels good, although it reminds me of Lana Grossa Cool Wool big. That’s a good yarn, but it does not feel as special as the other Wollmeise qualities do. The cables come out nicely as well. Looking forward to wearing this!
