Mostly Warmness

Sometimes I find it very difficult to keep a knitting blog as a designer. When I am in the process of making prototypes, trying things, frogging over and over again, not being sure whether it will work out at all, I am not really in the mood to show the world what I am doing. So when this blog is very quiet, it actually means that I am working really hard to get a new design ready. And today is one of those happy days when I have good news: My new pattern is here! It is not the multicolor one I talked about in my last post, but a cute little pair of Hitchhiker-style handwarmers that just wanted to be made. A matching cowl is included in the pattern „Mostly Warmness“ that’s available in my Ravelry store.

In this case, the challenge was to make the sawtooth borders look equally neat on both edges. Took a lot of fiddling, but I have finally found a way to achieve this. A detailed photo tutorial of this method is included in the pattern. Also, I have made a video tutorial about the provisional crochet cast on that is used in the pattern (Vimeo link).

I hope you like it!

  1. Hallo Martina,

Danke.
