Blauer Pfau

Handgefärbtes Garn verstricke ich am liebsten in einfachem Kraus-Rechts: All die kreative Energie, die die Färberin hineingesteckt hat, kommt so am besten zur Geltung! Außerdem mag ich spannende Konstruktionen – und witzige Details, die beim Stricken Spaß machen.
„Blauer Pfau“ ist genau so ein Tuch: Ein kraus rechts gestricktes Dreieck mit rautenförmigen Aussparungen entlang der Mittelachse.
Und interessanterweise tauchen diese Rauten am Ende an anderer Stelle wieder auf…!

I love to knit up pretty multicolored fingering-weight yarns in simple, easy-to-do garter stitch: All the creative work the dyer has put into the skein will show! What I also love is a
fun construction for a garter stitch shawl – and details that make it special. “Blauer Pfau” (means “blue peacock” in German) is a triangle with diamond-shaped cut-outs along the middle axis. And the cut-out pieces will magically (sort of) show up at one end of the shawl to add extra interest.

This was the first project of Strickmich! Club 2021. It was exclusive to our club members during one year. The pattern is now available on Ravelry and in Strickmich! Shop, where we also carry a small batch of the color „Blue Peacock“ that was used in the sample.
